Close and/or Mute YouTube ads automatically!
By pop up ads you mean the banner ads that appear along the bottom of the video?
Still seems to work for me.
Does youtube look different to you? sometimes google runs experiments where they show new interfaces to some subset of their users instead of all at once.

(pop-up ads = banners, yes!)
worked fine on the new design before today, so must have been a change on yt's end then...
doesn't close pop up ads anymore

as of today the script doesn't close pop up ads anymore. the muting of video ads still works!
