Some fixes for Youtube polymer engine
< Părere la script-ul Youtube polymer engine fixes
For each broken instance, please provide: OS, browser with version, extention used for userscript with version and script version. When problem appeared?
Is this similar?
Greetings, here's the info you requested:
OS: Windows 22H2 19045.5011
Problem Browser 1: Vivaldi 6.9.3447.46 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Problem Browser 2: Brave Version 1.71.118 Chromium: 130.0.6723.70 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Ext: Tampermonkey
Script: Version 2.26.3
The problem only began recently. I feel like it started after I cleared cookies and watch/search history, but that might be coincidental since it never affected it in the past.
Thanks very much...
Hello again, I realized I didn't answer your question--it's not similar to the link you posted. The script doesn't work at all on the 2 browsers I mentioned--it's as if it weren't even installed. It's still working on Opera and Firefox, but I'm afraid to clear my cookies and history in case that's the problem. I don't sign in (ever), and no matter how many videos I watch, Youtube doesn't create a homepage for me anymore on those browsers. Maybe that's related?
I'll try to look into this once I've enough time.
Not sure where I saw the info (Tampermonkey Page - https://www.tampermonkey.net/faq.php#Q209 ), but I had this error also where nothing was loading. I found out that you had to go into Manage Extensions and enable Developer Mode at the Top Right..
Once I did this..The YT Settings came back..I just hit save and now everything is working again and the button is back on the YT Pages

Thank you!! That worked to restore it on Brave (haven't tried Vivaldi yet, but I assume it'll work there too). Excellent--YT's interface is shockingly bad--and quite frankly, weird. I have no idea why they'd want less visible content, but this script makes YT's nonsense bearable.
Thanx :)
Added this information on the script's page.
First of all, I really love this script, and I thank you for making it. However, I'm sorry to say that it's increasingly not working. On my machine, it's no longer working with Vivaldi nor Brave. It seems to not load at all on those browsers, and thus I'm not using youtube on those browsers anymore. Firefox and Opera seem to be ok for now. I'm not sure if it's just these browsers, or...? Anyway, thanks in advance for any fixes you might be able to write. If not, I think my days of regular Youtube use are over--your script is the only way I find the UI bearable.
