Problems with DuckDuckGo

The "block" dialog on DDG cannot be used because it gets chopped off. See attached screenshot.

If I run the same search in Google, I can see the entire block dialog.

Hi Tom, thank you for reporting this!

It seems they changed how the result "heading" is styled and that is trimming off everything that doesn't fit in that narrow space. As a quick override, please use the custom style rule feature.

In the Manage Hiding dialog, click the Options tab and scroll to the bottom and click the Edit Custom Style Rules button. This should open a green bordered bar along the bottom of the window as shown in the first screen shot.

Select and copy the following style rule and paste it into the box. If you already have a rule there, paste it at the end.

h2.result__title{overflow:visible !important;}

Then click the Test button as shown in the second screen shot to confirm that this addresses the problem. Assuming it works for you, click Save and then Close, and you can also close the Manage Hiding dialog.

Success?

I added this into the script itself in version 1.6.8

I made a small tweak to this style rule in version 1.7.0 for better compatibility with the userstyle https://userstyles.org/styles/102738/duckduckgo-multi-columns-v-5 (mentioned in this article: https://jurnsearch.wordpress.com/2015/09/23/how-to-switch-to-the-duckduckgo-search-engine-in-firefox/ )
